"The purpose of this mobility project in the university of Bath (UK) was twofold. From a scientific perspective, it provided the opportunity to learn from an expert in the field (Lee Moore), which will benefit my future research work. From a human perspective, it allowed me to discover a new professional culture, as well as a different way of life.
This mobility project was very valuable. I had the opportunity to learn from Lee Moore (my host at the University of Bath) and to benefit from his expertise. I also gained a great deal from discussions with the research group, including researchers and PhD students. In addition, the new knowledge acquired led to important moments of reflection on my thesis, particularly following its presentation to the research group and subsequent discussions.
My advice would be not to hesitate to undertake a mobility project. It allows you to discover new ways of thinking and working. I would also recommend actively engaging in discussions with others, even if you are not used to doing so, as this greatly helped me to generate new ideas and to reflect differently on my thesis. Finally, mobility can be considered as a breath of fresh air during a PhD, helping to develop new habits and discover new environments."
