Want to develop your career but not sure where to start? Are you interested in being mentored and supported by an experienced mentor? Apply to the CBH mentorship program in association with Labex Arcane and benefit from personalized support.
The aim of the mentorship program is to help PhD students at an important stage in their career development, by pairing them up with a female or male mentor (someone with an inspiring track record working in the public or private sector).
This mentorship program is part of a drive to promote professional equality between women and men.
What is mentorship?
Mentorship is a relationship between two people based on mutual respect and confidentiality. Each relationship between mentor and mentee is unique and is built on the needs communicated by the mentee and the resources offered by the mentor.
Mentors can thus provide mentees with insightful advice, support them in developing new skills, and help them get closer to their professional goals.
The mentor/mentee “pair” meets several times a year (at least six times) to meet the mentee's goals. All pairs are supervised by our organization and a facilitator, providing a secure environment for everyone.
Why become a mentee?
to gain confidence and work on assertiveness;
to take a step back and project yourself into the professional world;
to develop your professional network;
to take control of your career path.
Why become a mentor?
to have a positive impact on the future professional lives of our doctoral students;
to be part of a network of mentors;
to strengthen your communication and leadership skills.
