Fête de la Science 2026: A weekend of science at Parvis des Sciences

Festival Scientific culture
October 9, 2026 - October 10, 2026Unknown label
On October 9 and 10, we took part in Fête de la Science 2026 at Parvis des Sciences in Grenoble, with two days of hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and share our passion for science with visitors of all ages.
Exploring the fascinating world of light
On Friday, we welcomed school groups to discover the workshop, “Light, Matter, Action!”. Through interactive experiments and demonstrations, students explored the fascinating properties of light and fluorescence, discovering phenomena that are often invisible to the naked eye.

On Saturday, the workshop was opened to the general public, giving families, children and curious minds of all ages the opportunity to experiment, ask questions and discover science in a fun and engaging way.

From fluorescence to cyanotype

Saturday also featured a second creative activity: a cyanotype workshop! This photographic printing technique uses light-sensitive materials to create beautiful blue images. Visitors could discover the process for themselves and experiment with the relationship between light and matter in a different way.

Combining scientific exploration with artistic creation offered a wonderful opportunity to approach science from different perspectives and show how scientific concepts can connect with our everyday lives.

A collective effort

These two days would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and dedication of everyone involved. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped run the activities, as well as to the entire team who designed and prepared these wonderful workshops.

It was a real pleasure to see both young and older visitors engage with the experiments, share their discoveries and enjoy exploring science together. Moments like these remind us how important science outreach is in making research accessible and inspiring curiosity beyond the laboratory.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these two days such a success
