Thesis : Tau in cell adhesion dynamics: interactions between tau, the cytoskeleton and focal adhesions
Abstract: My project aims at exploring how the observed Tau protein dysregulation in cancer can affect cell transformation, focusing on cytoskeleton and focal adhesion dynamics.

"Having long been interested in understanding the underlying mechanisms behind living things, I decided to follow a Bachelor's degree in cellular and molecular biology at the University of Nantes. I then went on with a research-oriented master's degree at the same university, specializing in oncology and immunology. During my studies I undertook internships in both of these fields at the University of Calgary and at the CRCI2NA in Nantes. As I aimed at working on more fundamental research projects, I decided to join this project, involving aspects of cell biology, structural biology and mechanobiology. My work will contribute to deciphering novel elements of neoplastic cell transformation which could potentially have meaningful implications in cancer therapy. I believe the CBH doctorate school, with the wide range of scientific and translational training it offers, to be the ideal setting for conducting such a project and preparing myself for the rest of my reasearch career, be it in academia or in the private sector."
